I am a native English speaker from Northern Ireland (UK) and a qualified English teacher (PGCE) with Cambridge certification. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for 4 years both online and in a private local language school.
I specialise in 1:1 online lessons via Zoom or MS Teams to help healthcare staff prepare for their English exams (OETS / IELTS) and clinical communication classes to discuss all things healthcare related to help enhance your language skills. As a former nurse and nurse educator with over 20 years experience, I'm in an unique position to be able to do this.
I also provide classes for people who don't work in healthcare, so if you are interested in improving your business or general English, I will design lessons specific for you.
I can teach all levels of English (A1-C2 CEFR) and focus on listening, reading, writing or speaking and also grammar and pronunciation. I will tell you about areas that you are doing well in, correct errors and suggest new phrases/vocabulary. After all lessons I will email you a feedback report about what we discussed so you can keep track of your progress.
I think having a relaxed learning environment where you can ask questions and practise freely is the best way to improve your language skills.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange a free 20 minute consultation to discuss your learning needs.

Hobbies: I love reading, these days I'm reading a lot of non-fiction about the history of the English language. I also enjoy travelling, cooking, listening to podcasts (true crime), eating out and doing home improvements when I have the time!
